Shipping and Delivery

GroceryandFood.com has partnered with UPS and the United States Postal Service (USPS) for our daily shipments.  The carrier used for your shipment is at the discretion of GroceryandFood.com except in the case of APO/FPO shipments which are always shipped via the USPS Priority Mail Service.

 
Shipping rates are determined by the weight of the package and the zip code it is being shipped to. Although we use multiple carriers, shipping rates for orders within the lower 48 United States are based on the published UPS rates because they are our primary carrier. Shipping rates for APO/FPO orders and orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii are calculated using the USPS Priority Mail rates and include insurance at no extra cost to you. 
 
You will notice that once you add an item to your shopping cart you will be prompted to enter your zip code so that your shipping charge can be correctly calculated. 
 

TRANSPORT TIME FOR UPS AND USPS:

Once your order has been shipped you will receive an order update notifying you of the shipping method that was used (see below):
 
UPS Ground: Takes from 1-5 days on average (in some very remote areas out West it can take 6 days). UPS provides a time in transit map on their website that is handy if you have any questions on this.
 
USPS Priority Mail: Delivery within 2-5 days in most cases.
 
USPS Parcel Post: Delivery within 2-8 days in most cases.
 
Just for your assurance before you fill out the customer information and payment information the shipping charge will appear on the page. GroceryandFood.com automatically computes and displays shipping charges whenever you select to check out. You will know the exact amount of shipping cost to your purchase before you actually need to submit your payment information. There will be no "Hidden" charges. If the shipping fee is not displayed when you place the order, we will contact you to confirm the exact shipping cost before we charge the order.
 
IMPORTANT: UPS does not ship to PO Box addresses. You must choose one of the USPS shipping options if you want your order delivered to a PO Box. Orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico can only be shipped via USPS.
 

TRANSPORT TIME TO APOs:

Grocery and Food is happy to have the opportunity to provide a "little bit of home" to our men and women in uniform serving abroad. To limit your wait time we only ship your online grocery order via the USPS Priority Mail Service. 
 
How long does it take for APO grocery delivery?
The USPS states that it can take up to 45 days for an order to arrive to an APO/FPO address.
However, in our experience, APO AE and APO AA orders typically arrive within  7-14 days at most. Orders shipping to APO AP (Pacific) addresses have been known to take quite a bit longer to arrive. To prevent delays please double-check your shipping address and make sure it is correct!
 
International Orders
International orders will be sent via USPS, according to the transit time chart below. The customer is responsible for all duties and taxes upon delivery.
  • Global Express Guaranteed: 1- 3 business days
  • Express Mail International: 3- 5 business days
  • Priority Mail International: 6-10 business days
 

Holidays

UPS does not guarantee delivery service 14 days before holidays; therefore, if your package does not arrive on time, GroceryandFood.com is not responsible and cannot be held liable. Request for refunds will not be honored.
 

Frozen Foods

Frozen Foods are available by 2nd day air! The Cold Pack used to refrigerate the product has a life of 72 hours which allows 2nd day air shipping, and you can save on cost. Second Day Air is only available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure the product reaches you within 72 hours.
 
Please note that all Frozen Foods must be shipped at least 2nd day air to ensure fresh arrival. Frozen orders may be upgraded to Standard Overnight at an additional cost.
 
GroceryandFood.com guarantees that all Frozen Food items that leave our warehouse arrive fresh. 
GroceryandFood.com currently only ships frozen food to customers residing in the continental United States. We DO NOT ship frozen food to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO destinations. 
 

ADDRESS CORRECTION:

If the incorrect shipping address is entered the customer will be charged a $10.00 address correction fee. This fee will be charged once UPS has notified us of the address correction and the additional charge. The customer will be notified of the charge via email, if no email address is given the customer will not be notified of the charge. 
 

SHIPPING AND BILLING ADDRESS:

If your shipping address is different from your credit card billing address, please make sure your card issuer has listed this shipping address as an "authorized" address. We verify all addresses with VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Due to American Express policy, we ONLY ship goods to Billing Address. No Exception!
 

STOLEN MERCHANDISE

We do NOT request or require a signature for deliveries, but we cannot force the driver to leave the package if no one is home. If you live in a relatively low crime area and the risk is small, the driver will usually leave the package at your door or another safe area, but it is solely up to your UPS/USPS driver's discretion whether or not to require a signature. This also applies to any special shipping instructions that you have asked us to include on your shipping label. If your package was delivered, and the shipping company confirmed it - we cannot accept any theft claims for the refunds.
 

MILITARY ADDRESSES (APO/FPO)

GroceryandFood.com ships all orders sent to APO and FPO boxes via USPS Priority Mail. Your package is ONLY insured to your military address. GroceryandFood.com is not liable for packages lost by Military Mail. In the unlikely event a package is lost and an insurance claim needs to be filed, it cannot be filed until 75 days after the shipping date, per USPS regulations. In the event of an insurance claim, no refunds or reshipments will be made until the insurance claim is settled. Claims can take up to 5-6 weeks to process per USPS regulations.
